About Alexandra
Based in Hall Render’s Denver office, Alex Olesen is part of Hall Render’s health regulatory practice group. She focuses her practice on provider financial arrangements, physician contracting and physician alignment arrangements. She regularly counsels clients on fraud and abuse matters, helping them navigate and ensure compliance with complex regulatory issues such as those involving the federal Stark Law, the federal Anti-Kickback Statute and related laws and regulations.
Alex has experience with and helps clients develop effective provider contracting and compensation governance processes and procedures. And, with a master’s degree in labor and employment law, she provides counsel on physician employment and other employment law matters.
Before becoming an attorney, Alex was the Director of Provider Compensation for hospital-based arrangements at a large health system. Alex’s 12 years of experience in provider compensation include performing fair market value and commercial reasonableness analyses, compensation plan design, drafting compensation plan documents, provider pay administration and providing consultative and strategic support to leaders during negotiations. Alex leverages her previous experience to better anticipate and serve clients’ needs. Throughout her career, Alex has enjoyed building relationships and serving as a trusted advisor to those she supports.
Alex is passionate about staying active and loves running, hiking and skiing. She also enjoys trying new restaurants and spending time with family, friends and her Rhodesian Ridgeback, Remi.
