About Ronald

Ron Sheff focuses his practice on tax-exempt financing, public-private partnerships and transactional matters for hospitals, health systems and other health care and public sector organizations. He regularly represents hospitals and other nonprofit institutions in tax-exempt bond financings and lending transactions, including the use of bank letters of credit and other credit enhancements. Ron advises clients on numerous aspects of tax-exempt and taxable financings for health care facilities, educational institutions and local government projects.

In addition to his finance work, Ron’s practice includes structuring and negotiating public-private partnership transactions for major development projects, helping clients navigate the complex legal and financial frameworks that support these collaborations.

Ron also maintains a robust transactional practice, counseling health care providers on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and corporate restructurings. He assists hospitals and health systems in obtaining IRS determinations of tax-exempt status, structuring reorganizations to create integrated health systems, and implementing complex real estate and facility financing projects, including medical office buildings, ambulatory surgery centers and urgent care centers.
