Over the past decade, hospitals and health care providers have learned that the administration of leasing arrangements, without a formal policy, can create compliance risks that impact their bottom line. This session will discuss the importance of creating a compliance policy to ensure that leasing arrangements comply with the Stark law, the Anti-Kickback Statute, property tax exemptions, tax-exempt financing arrangements, and reimbursement requirements. The panelists will discuss how to select team members to create the policy and how to address regulatory requirements in the policy. The panelists will also discuss how the policy should be implemented.
