Tag, You Are it: Review of Appendix PP, Regulations, and Guidance on F-Tags and the Survey Process

Effective Nov. 28, 2017, state surveyors are using an entirely new numbering system for F-Tags. The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) updated the F-Tags to correspond with the new regulatory sections implemented through the roll-out of the new Requirements of Participation. Presentation will focus on what is new, what is commonly cited, and what the Interpretive Guidance provides about them in the new State Operations Manual, Appendix PP. Presentation will include an overview of the survey process and compliance recommendations.
