Hall Render is pleased to announce attorney Nicholas A. Gonzales has been named to Lawyers of Color’s inaugural Hot List, a group of 100 early- to mid-career minority attorneys under 40 from the Midwest Region.
Gonzales practices health law, focusing primarily in the areas of regulatory compliance, pharmacy regulatory matters, billing and reimbursement. Specific aspects of his health care industry experience include: assisting with False Claims Act investigations; advising clients regarding excluded provider matters; analyzing compliance with the Anti-Kickback and Stark laws; advising clients regarding voluntary self-disclosures made to the Office of Inspector General and to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services; and advising pharmacies with regulatory and compliance risks.
The honorees will be recognized at a reception in Chicago and profiled in Lawyers of Color’s inaugural Hot List Special Issue this month. Lawyers of Color, which was founded as On Being A Black Lawyer but now produces publications for U.S. lawyers of South Asian, Pacific Asian, Hispanic, Native American and African heritages, as well as others, has been recognized by the American Bar Association, National Black Law Students Association and National Association of Black Journalists. Founded in 2008 as a news and resource center, the company has grown into a social media firm providing research, career development and brand marketing opportunities to clients.
