HRSA Launches COVID-19 Uninsured Program Portal
- Today, the Health Resources and Services Administration (“HRSA”) launched a new COVID-19 Uninsured Program Portal so health care providers who have provided COVID-19 testing or treatment for uninsured COVID-19 individuals on or after February 4, 2020 can request claims reimbursement. The portal is located here.
CMS Announces Reevaluation of APP Program, Suspends Advance Payment Program
- CMS announced that it is reevaluating the amounts that will be paid under its Accelerated Payment Program and suspending its Advance Payment Program to Part B suppliers effective immediately. The remaining CARES Act monies will be distributed through the Provider Relief Fund. An updated fact sheet is available here.
OSHA Issues Additional Respirator Guidance
- The Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration (“OSHA”) has issued interim enforcement guidance on reusing disposable N95 filtering face piece respirators (N95 FFRs) that have been decontaminated.
Medicaid Directors Send HHS a Letter on CARES Act Funding
- The National Association of Medicaid Directors sent a letter to HHS calling for a meeting about when and how they will receive CARES Act funding. Additionally, the letter calls for greater transparency on specific funding amounts to specific providers.
From the FDA
- The FDA issued a statement on the availability of alcohol-based hand sanitizer during the COVID-19 pandemic.
- After receiving questions and concerns about the Emergency Use Authorization for face masks posted on April 18, 2020, the FDA updated and re-issued the EUA.

- The House and Senate will go back into session on May 4. No coronavirus-related votes are scheduled at this time.
