It is with profound sadness we share the news of the unexpected passing of our long-time friend and colleague, Art deVaux.
Art joined Hall Render as a Shareholder more than 20 years ago and was instrumental in the successful launch of our Michigan office. Throughout his tenure, Art held several roles in Firm Leadership – most recently as the Michigan Office Managing Partner. Art was passionate about his family, the practice of law and serving his clients. Art’s ability to think critically and find creative solutions always brought a level of comfort to all who worked with him. Many of the clients with whom Art worked also became his friends. Art cared immensely about his Hall Render family and embodied the Firm’s mission in everything he did.
Outside of the office, Art loved spending time with his family, golfing and cheering on his alma mater, the University of Michigan. We are forever blessed to have had Art in our lives, both personally and professionally.
Your thoughts and prayers for Art’s wife, Kristi, and their two sons, AJ and Martin, are welcomed and greatly appreciated. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Art’s honor to either the Rochester Neighborhood House or the Beaver Island Community Center.
