Hall Render is pleased to announce Liza Sawyer has joined the firm in its Washington, D.C. office.
Liza Sawyer specializes in health care law with a strong emphasis on compliance and regulatory matters as well as general transactional work. Liza leverages her experiences in court environments to guide clients through regulatory challenges and litigation and to develop robust compliance programs. Liza also represents clients in connection with a variety of transactional needs, including general corporate law, mergers and acquisitions and real estate. She counsels hospitals, health systems and other health care entities, ensuring they maintain compliance with the regulatory framework and transactional requirements that govern the health care industry.
Before joining the firm, Liza served as a Legal Advisor at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit in Washington, D.C. In this role, she provided critical risk management, compliance, legal and administrative advice to the court.
Liza is admitted to practice in Colorado and the District of Columbia and is a member of the American Health Law Association, Women’s Bar Association of the District of Columbia, D.C. Bar Association and the District of Columbia LGBTQ+ Bar Association.
