About Drew
Drew Howk is a health care litigation and appellate attorney who represents hospitals, health systems and other providers in high-stakes regulatory disputes, complex litigation and appellate proceedings.
Known for a strategic and analytical approach, Drew works closely with in-house counsel to navigate complex administrative law issues, align litigation strategy with regulatory risk and pursue outcomes that protect both legal and operational objectives. He brings a rare dual perspective to client matters, serving not only as outside counsel in high-stakes health care litigation and appeals but also as General Counsel to Hall Render. In that role, he regularly advises on ethics, compliance, conflicts and governance issues and helps guide enterprise-level decisions where legal risk, reputation and business considerations intersect.
Drew’s practice includes:
- Handling Medicare reimbursement disputes and emergency injunctions;
- Defending providers in False Claims Act and enforcement-related matters;
- Advising on litigation and appellate risk arising from agency action; and
- Resolving high-stakes regulatory disputes through negotiation and litigation.
Outside of his legal practice, he is active in the Indiana legal community and is committed to supporting the Indiana Bar Foundation, where he serves on the Board of Directors and helps advance its mock trial program.
