Rounding Up Recent Regulatory and Survey Developments

Throughout the coronavirus pandemic, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has issued blanket waivers of its post-acute regulations and interim final regulations governing health care and nursing home reporting and communications. CMS has also proposed regulations to finalize several elements of Phase 3 of the Requirements of Participation. This session will help clear the regulatory fog on the changes made during the pandemic, which blanket waivers remain and which ones have ended, and the interplay between the Phase 3 Requirements of Participation and the skilled nursing regulatory changes made during the pandemic.
