About Caitlin
Caitlin Bell-Butterfield is a health care regulatory and operations attorney who helps hospitals, academic medical centers and research institutions navigate complex regulatory, compliance and graduate medical education (“GME”) challenges.
Drawing on her prior experience in reproductive health, Caitlin provides practical guidance across a broad spectrum of health care and life sciences matters, helping clients address operational, policy and regulatory issues efficiently.
Caitlin’s practice includes:
- Advising on GME matters, including affiliation agreements between programs and host sites, GME policies and procedures, conflict resolution with residents and other learners and reimbursement issues;
- Counseling covered entities, including hospitals and hospital systems, on 340B Program compliance, contract pharmacy negotiation and manufacturer responses;
- Guiding clients on managed care arrangements and compliance with federal and state regulatory frameworks governing the health care industry; and
- Advising on reproductive health care and gender-affirming care, leveraging her prior clinical experience to inform strategic and regulatory guidance.
Outside of work, Caitlin enjoys spending time with her family, hiking and trying new restaurants in Durham.
