About Derek
Based in the firm's Indianapolis office, Derek White concentrates his practice on operations, Medical Staff governance, credentialing and peer review, and life sciences matters. Derek supports hospitals, health systems and other clients across the health care industry by assisting with day-to-day operational challenges and contributing to efforts that promote high-quality patient care. His research experience enables him to navigate complex regulatory environments, helping health care providers stay compliant with evolving laws, regulations and industry standards.
Before attending law school, Derek worked as a physical therapy aide and completed his undergraduate studies in Kinesiology. This background created a strong foundation within the health care profession that continues to inform his legal work today.
Derek graduated from Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law in Indianapolis and spent two summers as a Summer Associate at Hall Render. Outside of work, Derek enjoys traveling abroad with his wife, riding bikes and cheering on his favorite sports teams from Indianapolis and San Diego.
