About Joseph
Joe Krause is a reimbursement and regulatory attorney who helps hospitals, health systems and other providers navigate payment and compliance requirements, with a particular focus on rural health and specialty providers.
Drawing on his legal and accounting background, Joe works closely with in-house counsel, finance teams and operational leaders to structure compliant, financially sound arrangements in a complex regulatory environment.
Joe’s practice includes:
- Advising on Medicare and Medicaid payment issues, including provider-based status, cost reports and geographic reclassification;
- Counseling hospitals on qualification for special provider statuses;
- Supporting clients seeking rural or shortage-area designations; and
- Assisting with licensure, certification and billing compliance matters.
