About Liza
Based in the firm’s Washington, D.C. office, Liza Sawyer specializes in health care law, with a focus on litigation and antitrust matters. She represents hospitals, health systems and other health care entities in complex commercial, regulatory and employment-related disputes. Liza also supports the reimbursement appeals team in their federal litigation practice. In addition to her litigation practice, Liza advises clients on antitrust regulatory requirements, helping them navigate federal and state compliance obligations in connection with mergers, acquisitions and joint ventures. She also works closely with state and federal agencies to help implement antitrust compliance monitoring programs.
Before joining the firm, Liza served as a Legal Advisor at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit in Washington, D.C. In this role, she provided critical risk management, compliance, legal and administrative advice to the court.
Outside of work, Liza enjoys spending time with her partner and her dog, skiing and trying new restaurants in the D.C. area.
