About Sarah
Sarah Crosby is a health care reimbursement attorney who represents hospitals in Medicare reimbursement appeals before the Provider Reimbursement Review Board and in Federal Court.
She advises clients on challenging CMS reimbursement determinations and navigating complex administrative and judicial appeal processes. Sarah also provides related reimbursement counseling to hospital reimbursement departments and works closely with internal teams to pursue accurate payment for services rendered.
Sarah’s practice includes:
- Handling Medicare reimbursement appeals before the Provider Reimbursement Review Board;
- Litigating reimbursement matters in Federal Court;
- Challenging CMS payment calculations and standardized amount determinations; and
- Pursuing nursing and allied health education, bad debt and quality reporting appeals on behalf of hospitals.
Before joining the Firm, Sarah served as an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Washington, where she prosecuted civil and criminal Medicaid fraud cases, and later owned her own practice focused on representing Social Security claimants in both administrative hearings and federal court.
Outside of her practice, Sarah enjoys mountain climbing and has summited peaks around the world, including Mt. Rainier, Kilimanjaro, Mt. Elbrus and Denali.
