Keys to Compliant and Caring End of Life Care and Decision Making – including the new Physician Orders for Scope of Treatment (POST) Document

End of life care is receiving more and more attention in facilities and in the news. Session will cover dynamics of end of life care in skilled nursing and assisted living. Session will discuss new RoP regulations that impact advance care issues, CMS regulatory pronouncements on end of life care and look at OIG issues regarding end of life care. Session will offer practices and procedures that skilled nursing and assisted living facilities can implement, alone or with hospices to enhance end of life experiences for residents. Session will also review the new Physician Orders for Scope of Treatment (POST) document.
