Behind the Seal: Why DOJ Investigations Drag On—and When They Shouldn’t

The conversation explores why DOJ investigations can remain under seal for extended periods, the operational and financial impact these delays have on providers, how the Fifth Circuit’s 2023 decision in United States ex rel. Aldridge v. Corporate Management, Inc. highlighted concerns regarding excessive delays, and potential reforms to improve the system.
