COVID-19 Provider Relief Fund Update: A Review of Additional $8.5 Billion Funding and Strategies for Preparing for Upcoming Reporting and Auditing
Synopsis:
The Provider Relief Fund created by the CARES Act included billions of dollars to reimburse eligible health care providers for expenses and lost revenues attributable to the COVID-19 pandemic. Recent legislation has modified the Provider Relief Fund and appropriated an additional $8.5 billion for rural providers.
With the majority of the Provider Relief Fund distributed, providers are turning their attention to upcoming reporting requirements and future HHS and financial audits. This presentation will provide an overview of the provider relief fund, explore the status of the additional $8.5 billion for rural providers, discuss best practices and strategies for preparing for upcoming reporting obligations and describe future audit requirements.
