Ethics: Behavioral Health/Substance Use

Hall Render attorney Philip R. Davis will present “Ethics: Behavioral Health/Substance Use” during a virtual Lunch n Learn sponsored by Sycamore Springs.

The presentation will cover privacy and confidentiality in behavioral health and substance use treatment, including HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2 and other legal requirements governing patient information. Philip will discuss ethical challenges involving workforce access, social media and duty-to-warn obligations, along with practical guidance for preventing and responding to improper disclosures, cybersecurity events and privacy breaches.
