Synopsis:

Affirmative Action: OFCCP Targets the Health Care Industry – Jonathan C. Bumgarner

Attorney Jonathan Bumgarner will clarify how the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs is determining which health care providers are covered by federal affirmative action rules, what this means for your organization’s human resources practices and what steps you should be taking to minimize risk.

Indiana Legislative Update – Timothy W. Kennedy and Allison L. Taylor

Attorneys Kennedy and Taylor, part of IHA’s legislative team, will provide the Legal Forum’s annual overview of the important and relevant laws that were passed during the 2011 legislative session, along with comments on some laws that were considered but did not pass.

Health Case Law Update – John F. Williams III

Attorney John F. Williams will provide an overview regarding Indiana, federal and other states’ case law decisions that have had, or will have, an impact on health care providers.

Health Reform Update and Future Health Care Payment Implications – Brian C. Betner and Angela Smith

Attorneys Betner and Smith will give an overview of the current state of health reform and implementation of the Affordable Care Act, along with a review of the hospital value-based purchasing program regulations and implications regarding future payments to hospitals.

County Hospital Special Session – Brian C. Betner

Last year’s “extra” session on current issues associated with Indiana county hospitals was so well-received that we’re holding a special session again this year. Betner will review areas of interest unique to Indiana county hospitals and address any audience questions or issues.
