Privacy and Information Security Breach Mitigation

Covered entities are responsible for the proper use, storage, and disclosure of protected health information (“PHI”). What should the covered entity do when PHI is improperly disclosed? This session will start with an examination of Risk Analysis and Risk Management and determining whether a breach has occurred and, if one has, breach mitigation. The session will conclude with a discussion on what to look for in a cyber-liability insurance policy.
