Synopsis:

2012 Medicare Issues: New Developments and Old Issues – Dave Snow

This presentation will provide an update on new Medicare developments affecting rural and particularly critical access hospitals. It will also include a review of basic critical access hospital requirements, continuing issues and opportunities.

PRRB Appeals Process: Feeling Short Changed After the NPR? – Dan Miller

This presentation will discuss the Medicare cost report appeals process before the Provider Reimbursement Review Board, including jurisdictional and procedural requirements.

The 340B Program: New Developments and New Opportunities for CAHs and Others – Todd Nova

This presentation will address 340B Program participation requirements applicable to CAHs (including provider-based considerations). We will also discuss new developments such as the proposed rules addressing the orphan drug exclusion, manufacturer compliance with 340B Program discount mandates and dispute resolution processes related to complaints against manufacturers for failures to provide required 340B Program discounts.
