Hall Render attorney Ritu Kaur Cooper has been elected to serve a one-year term on the American Health Law Association (“AHLA”) Board of Directors beginning July 1, 2022. “I am honored to be selected by my peers to serve on the AHLA Board,” Ritu said. “AHLA has played an integral role in my growth as an attorney, and I look forward to the opportunity to help guide this organization and bring industry leaders together to advance how we are able to best serve our clients.”
For more than 15 years, Ritu has been an active member of AHLA and has held leadership roles consistently since 2015. She is a frequent speaker at AHLA’s in-person programs and is a contributor to the Association’s publications. Ritu also serves as the Chair of the Hospitals and Health Systems Practice Group and has been a member of the Editorial Board for the Health Care Compliance Professionals Manual since 2019. She served on the 2021 Nominating Committee and has previously held numerous positions within the Hospitals and Health Systems Practice Group, including serving as the Vice Chair of Educational Programming, the Vice Chair of Strategic Planning and Special Projects and the Vice Chair of Research and Website.
Ritu is a shareholder in Hall Render’s health section and serves as a co-leader of the firm’s compliance service line. Her practice consists of representing health care providers in litigation, regulatory and compliance matters with particular focus on fraud and abuse, compliance, internal and government investigations, voluntary disclosures and management of compliance with CIA requirements.
