- Connecticut adopted sweeping changes to its certificate-of-need (“CON”) program. - Intermountain Health announced plans to expand its ownership of hospitals and clinic operations in Southeast Idaho, including Mountain View Hospital and Idaho Falls Community Hospital.
- Illinois health officials approved plans for a new $231M hospital in Cahokia Heights, advancing a project aimed at expanding access to inpatient care in the region. The approval marks a key regulatory step before development can move forward.
- Parkview Health broke ground on a new $200M hospital in West Lafayette, Indiana, marking a significant expansion of its presence in the market. The project is expected to add inpatient, emergency and specialty services to support regional growth.
- Parkview Health purchased land near the planned IU Health hospital site in Fort Wayne, Indiana, adding another notable health care real estate transaction in the area.
- SSM Health announced plans to build a new senior living campus in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. The campus is expected to include a range of senior living services, including independent living, assisted living, memory care and skilled nursing care. The project reflects continued integration of senior housing and health care services on or near health system campuses.
- Two rehabilitation hospital projects received approvals within the same week, demonstrating continued demand for post-acute and inpatient rehabilitation capacity. The approved projects include rehabilitation hospitals in Branford, Connecticut and Palm Coast, Florida.
- Ballad Health purchased 15 acres of land for a replacement hospital in Unicoi County, Tennessee, nearly two years after flooding from Hurricane Helene damaged the prior facility. The land acquisition is a major step toward restoring local hospital access and advancing the replacement project.
- Beaufort Memorial announced its second workforce housing partnership in South Carolina. The collaboration reflects the growing role of hospitals and health systems in providing affordable housing near hospital campuses.
