Hall Render is pleased to announce that Amy Mackin and Colleen Powers were recently named by Best Lawyers® as “Lawyer of the Year” for 2027 in Health Care Law, and Tim Feeley was recognized as “Lawyer of the Year” in Litigation – Health Care. This distinction is awarded to a single lawyer in each practice area and geographic region.
Amy Mackin is based in the Raleigh office and focuses her practice on health care regulatory law, with particular experience in managed care contracting, reimbursement and payor relationships. She advises hospitals, health systems, clinical laboratories and other providers on the negotiation and administration of managed care contracts, including capitation and pay-for-performance arrangements, as well as contract disputes and transitions to out-of-network status. Amy also counsels clients on fraud and abuse, privacy, physician contracting and other compliance matters. She also contributes to the Firm’s leadership as Raleigh’s Co-Office Managing Partner and Health Economics Practice Group Leader.
Colleen Powers is a health care transactions attorney in the Indianapolis office who provides strategic counsel to some of the nation’s largest health systems, hospitals and physician groups. She regularly serves as lead counsel on complex health care mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and other affiliation strategies, helping clients navigate the business and regulatory aspects of each transaction. Colleen also serves as outside general counsel to physician groups and hospitals, combining deep industry knowledge with a practical approach. As a member of both Hall Render’s Board of Directors and the Board of Managers for Hall Render Advisory Services, she contributes to the Firm’s strategic direction and governance.
Tim Feeley is situated in the Milwaukee office and focuses his practice on health care, labor and employment, business, insurance and commercial litigation. He represents hospitals, physician groups, nursing homes and other health care professionals on regulatory, False Claims Act, ERISA, insurance and medical staff matters, including peer review, medical staff bylaws and due process hearings. Tim has extensive experience in state and federal courts and appellate proceedings in Wisconsin and other jurisdictions.
