About Meghan
Meghan Pound is a Shareholder in Hall Render’s Denver office and a member of the firm’s Health Human Resources Practice Group. With more than 20 years of experience, Meghan Pound represents hospitals and other health care organizations in employment law, litigation, physician contracting and compensation, professional review matters and regulatory compliance. Meghan partners with hospitals, long-term care facilities, behavioral health providers and federally qualified health centers to navigate complex workforce and operational challenges with practical, strategic guidance.
In her prior role at a Colorado-based law firm, Meghan represented clients in federal and state courts at both the trial and appellate levels, as well as in administrative proceedings and arbitrations. She has extensive experience conducting internal investigations and defending employment discrimination, alleged civil rights violations and breach of contract claims. Her practice also includes defending hospitals and health care organizations in professional review actions and alleged violations of the False Claims Act, Stark Law and the Anti-Kickback Statute. She has helped health care organizations navigate government investigations, defend against EMTALA enforcement actions and report self-disclosures to the OIG. In addition, she represents licensed professionals before state and federal regulatory agencies and advises health care organizations on compliance matters.
Meghan has secured notable results for clients, including defense verdicts in discrimination and professional review cases and summary judgment in federal court on EMTALA and related contract claims. She lives in Lyons, Colorado, with her husband and two children.
