About Emily
Based in Hall Render’s Michigan office, Emily Beukema concentrates her legal practice on health information technology and privacy matters. Leveraging her robust background in public health, Emily collaborates with clients to implement innovative, technology-based solutions that enhance patient health outcomes and access to health care.
Emily guides clients as they navigate the increasingly complex regulatory environment of data privacy and health care laws, with a focus on data collection and sharing and the use of artificial intelligence (AI). She has experience negotiating data use and health information sharing contracts (e.g., software, SaaS, AI solutions) while maintaining client data sharing strategy and advising on regulatory risk.
Emily is a member of the American Health Law Association. In her free time, she enjoys spending time outdoors with her family, including her two Australian Shepherds.
