About Lawrence

For over 30 years, Larry Coon has provided advice and counsel exclusively to the health care industry. Larry serves as the office managing partner of Hall Render’s Milwaukee office and is a member of the firm’s Mergers and Acquisitions Service Line.

Larry’s practice encompasses the business aspects of health care. He advises on corporate, governance and general commercial matters, and has led numerous transactional initiatives, including hospital acquisitions, divestitures and strategic affiliations, physician practice acquisitions, hospital-physician joint ventures, service line joint ventures, health system reorganizations and other strategic relationships. Larry has also served in an outside associate general counsel role for a large regional health system, primarily supporting growth and strategy initiatives. He brings years of experience and knowledge to his representation of clients in business matters and regularly coordinates a multi-disciplinary team in directing major transactions.

Larry has been recognized in The Best Lawyers in America since 2007 and was named a Lawyer of the Year recipient for Health Care Law in Milwaukee for 2016 and 2021. Larry is also a certified public accountant. He and his wife have three grown sons.
