About McKenna
McKenna Schaefer is a health care attorney who focuses her practice on health care transactions. She assists hospitals, health systems, physician practices and other health care organizations on a variety of corporate and transactional matters, with a focus on providing practical guidance that helps clients address legal challenges while advancing their strategic and operational goals.
McKenna’s practice includes:
- Advising health care organizations on corporate and transactional matters, including mergers and acquisitions and physician transactions;
- Counseling clients on regulatory and compliance matters, including analyses under the federal Stark Law and Anti-Kickback Statute; and
- Assisting clients in navigating legal and regulatory considerations related to operational matters.
Prior to joining Hall Render as an Associate, McKenna spent two summers as a Summer Associate with the Firm, where she worked with attorneys across a broad range of health care matters. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Health Services Administration from Xavier University, where she played Division I soccer.
Outside of work, McKenna enjoys trying new workout classes, spending time with friends and family and watching reality TV.
