About Mara
Mara Wilber is a health care regulatory and transactional attorney who advises hospitals, health systems and other providers.
She works closely with clients, including safety-net providers, to develop practical, solution-oriented strategies that support community access, financial sustainability and evolving care delivery models. Mara counsels organizations on a wide range of regulatory and transactional issues, with particular emphasis on pharmacy and 340B matters, managed care relationships and value-based care initiatives.
Mara’s practice includes:
- Advising on 340B program compliance and pharmacy-related matters;
- Negotiating and managing payer and pharmacy benefit manager contracting disputes;
- Counseling on fraud and abuse compliance and value-based payment models; and
- Developing programs to address social drivers of health, post-acute care networks and other community-based relationships; and
- Negotiating and drafting contracts, such as those pertaining to hospital and pharmaceutical supply chain, joint ventures, affiliations and other partnerships.
Before joining Hall Render, Mara served as Senior Associate General Counsel for a county hospital system in Ohio, an experience that informs her practical, in-house perspective on health care operations and regulatory challenges. Mara lives in Cleveland, Ohio, with her husband, daughter and two cats.
