Marketing Specialist
Hall, Render, Killian, Heath & Lyman, P.C., the nation’s largest healthcare law firm, focused exclusively on matters specific to health care organizations, is seeking a Marketing Specialist to join our marketing team. The Marketing Specialist supports the firm’s digital marketing, communications and event initiatives by executing day-to-day activities that strengthen brand visibility and support business development goals. This role works closely with the Digital Marketing Manager, Communications Manager and Business Development team to coordinate content, communications and event promotion across digital channels. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented and comfortable managing multiple projects at once—someone who enjoys turning plans into action and keeping marketing initiatives moving forward. The Marketing Specialist helps connect strategy to execution—ensuring campaigns, content and events are coordinated, timely and consistently presented across channels.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:
Digital & External Communications
- Draft, format and publish website content, including attorney bios, news items, event listings and practice descriptions.
- Assist with drafting press releases, announcements and external communications.
- Support social media planning by helping maintain content calendars and scheduling posts for firm channels (primarily LinkedIn).
- Assist with digital marketing campaigns supporting practice areas, events and firm initiatives.
- Track and report on basic digital performance metrics (website updates, email sends, social engagement, etc.).
Internal Communications
- Assist with drafting and distributing internal newsletters and firmwide announcements.
- Coordinate communications related to internal initiatives, recognitions and events.
- Help ensure messaging aligns with firm voice, tone and brand standards.
Content & Editorial Support
- Assist with editing and formatting articles, blog posts and thought leadership content.
- Maintain content and communications calendars to support coordination across teams.
- Collaborate with attorneys and internal stakeholders to gather information and ensure accuracy.
Event & Sponsorship Support
- Support promotion of firm-hosted webinars, CLEs and client events.
- Assist with communications related to sponsorships, speaking engagements and community involvement.
- Coordinate digital assets and post-event follow-up materials as needed.
Project Coordination & Operations
- Maintain marketing content libraries and shared resources.
- Coordinate with external vendors (design, web, print, PR) as needed.
- Assist with tracking analytics and preparing monthly or quarterly summaries.
- Support administrative marketing needs such as AHLA membership coordination and procurement of business cards and printed materials.
- Recommend process improvements to enhance payroll efficiency and accuracy.
Requirements, Education and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism or related field.
- 2–4 years of experience in marketing or communications, preferably in a professional services environment.
- Strong writing, editing and proofreading skills with close attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills and comfort managing multiple deadlines.
- Experience with Microsoft Office; familiarity with email marketing platforms (e.g., Salesforce Account Engagement), website CMS tools and social media platforms.
- Familiarity with legal or professional services marketing is a plus.
- Collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
- Clear communicator with a professional and approachable style.
- Detail-driven, reliable and comfortable adapting to shifting priorities.
- Interest in growing digital marketing and communications skills over time.
Job Type: Full-time

Schedule: Monday to Friday; 7.5 hour day shift.
Travel requirement: No travel
Work Location: Indianapolis Office; hybrid option, with 3 days a week in the office.
