Private Equity Deal Spotlight | Weekly Update

Health care continues to drive private equity (“PE”) activity, creating opportunities for investors and traditional health care providers. Transactions in the health care space are especially complicated, layering health care regulatory and reimbursement considerations on top of a complex securities, antitrust, privacy and security framework.

  • Bessemer Investors announced that it has completed a significant investment in Xanitos, Inc. Headquartered in Newtown Square, PA, Xanitos is a specialized provider of environmental services, patient transport, patient observation and linen services to hospitals and other ambulatory care settings across the U.S. Bessemer Investors is a PE firm headquartered in San Francisco, CA, focused on partnering with and investing in middle-market companies in the industrials, business services and consumer sectors.
  • Revelstoke Capital Partners recently announced that its portfolio company, The Care Team, has acquired certain hospice and palliative care operations from Traditions Health. The Care Team, based in Farmington Hills, MI, provides end-of-life care for older adults. With locations across six states, the company offers comprehensive hospice services including pain management, assistance with daily tasks, emotional support and spiritual guidance. Traditions Health, headquartered in Tennessee, provides hospice, palliative and home health services in 16 states. Revelstoke Capital Partners is a PE firm headquartered in Denver, CO, and is focused on investments in the health care services, health care technology and health and wellness sectors.
  • WindRose Health Investors, LLC recently announced that it has completed a significant investment in Stellus Rx. Stellus Rx is a technology-enabled, value-based pharmacy care management platform. It offers personalized, pharmacist-led services that improve clinical outcomes and reduce health care costs by simplifying the medication journey for both patients and health care providers. WindRose Health Investors, headquartered in New York City, is a PE firm that specializes in investing in the health care industry.
  • NMS Capital announced its investment in and recapitalization of Axiom Medical. Axiom Medical provides tech-enabled workplace incident case management solutions, utilizing a 24/7 nurse-led model to manage employee health incidents, reduce claims costs and improve return-to-work outcomes. NMS Capital, headquartered in New York City, is a PE firm specializing in strategic investments and buyouts in the middle market, with a focus on the business services and health care services sectors.
